I’ve experienced first hand what it feels like to “lose my mind” … Coming from a world that honoured “being busy” because it meant being productive and successful; only to find that what it really meant was burn out and despair!!.

Meditation can be defined as the ability to move into a state of stillness and clarity … Moving the mind into a state of emptiness or “turning off” the thinking process. For me, Meditation is an opportunity to simply let the mind have a rest from its normal everyday “chatter”

People sing the praises of Meditation and can quote numerous studies highlighting the benefits of taking some time out to Meditate. What I know for sure from my experience teaching and practicing Meditation is that, all of us will get something different from it. Simply because, we are all so very different human beings and that’s why I say …

Meditation is Not A One Size Fits All Approach.

At Pure Yoga I’ve developed a very simple approach to Meditation, what I call Modern Meditation … Meditation does not need to be complicated, difficult, unrealistic or perfect. In my Modern Meditation world you just have to be consistent, show up and leave the ego at the door. Pretty Simple!!

I see Meditation like being at a buffet, there’s so many choices that you just might need to sample all of them to see which one you like best!! Meditation is a learned skill that can help greatly contribute to a healthy balanced mind and body.

Learning our technique of Modern Meditation will allow you to harness that often “out of control” mind that at the end of the day truly rules our thoughts and behaviours.  The mind is an almighty powerful tool that can be either your friend or foe.  Learning to gain power over the mind will make you more resilient , emotionally intelligent and is crucial to thriving and cultivating peak performance in all aspects of your life.

Ultimately Meditation will improve your quality of life and can be achieved in as little as 10 minutes a day
