Yoga

At Pure Yoga we teach a hatha vinyasana style of yoga. Classes carefully incorporate strength and stretch asanas (poses) that are closely linked with the breath. Time is given at the completion of class for guided relaxation.

Our participants are encouraged to work and progress at their own pace. We emphasise the awareness of ones own personal limitations, so as to get the best from the practice.

We welcome everyone to join us at Pure Yoga and encourage beginners to any of our classes.

To make classes more enjoyable & varied, we provide:

  • Blankets
  • Blocks
  • Bolsters
  • Lavender Bags
  • Mats
  • Straps

A series of special classes are held in the last week of each month, these classes give participants the opportunity to experience different yoga styles and include:

  • Ashtanga
  • Power Yoga
  • Core strength
  • Vinyasana Restorative practice
  • Yoga in motion
  • Jivamukti inspired yoga

Guest speakers often present topics of interest throughout the year , these have included;

  • Reflexology
  • Aurevada
  • Naturopathy
  • Lavender Bags
  • Indian head massage

An early morning biannual “Yoga in the Park” is held each April and October to celebrate the beauty of the season and the serenity of yoga. A scrumptious organic breakfast awaits us. This is an open class where everyone is welcome and is often attended by partners and family of current attendees.

All classes are limited to 12 to ensure individual and personal attention. For this reason bookings are essential
